Our Story
Team 3754, First City Robotics, competes in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. We come from TrekNorth Jr. & Sr. High School, a small charter school in Bemidji, MN focused on college readiness, service learning, and outdoor adventure. Our robotics team members are a prime example of TrekNorth students working as a team, setting goals and working hard to reach them, and raising excitement and support from a wider community.
We've had our challenges through the years - we were founded in the 2010-2011 school year with one coach and a handful of members. After working hard to build a core group of students and adults invested in First City Robotics, we've built ourselves a place in our school and larger community. Alongside mentorship of jr. high students, our team is invested in fundraising projects that benefit our school and larger community, and we are excited about our blossoming sponsor and community partner relationships.
As of the 2016-2017 season, we have 4 coaches and over 13 high school members, who mentor 5+ middle school students interested in the robotic process. Through our early trials and challenges, we have grown into a motivated and resilient team of students and coaches, excited to see where each season will take us!
